Welcome to the ATESST2 project website

Advanced automotive functions are increasingly dependent on software and electronics. These embedded systems are becoming increasingly complex and critical for the entire vehicle.
Model based development is a means to manage this complexity and develop embedded systems in a way that increase safety and quality.
The ATESST2 project addresses this topic and provides means to integrate the engineering information from documents, spreadsheets and legacy tools into one systematic structure, a System Model.
ATESST2 will deliver a refined version of the EAST-ADL2, an automotive architecture description language. EAST-ADL2 provides an information structure for the engineering information involved in automotive software development.
EAST-ADL is subject to research in past and present projects, such as EAST-EEA (where the language was initiated), TIMMO and EDONA. ATESST is the predecessor project of ATESST2 and its results can be found here.
ATESST2 is a STREP funded by the European Commission.

Please contact the ATESST2 Coordinator for any enquiries related to ATESST2!
